Tomica No. 16 Mazda Atenza (トミカ No. 16 マツダアテンザ) is a toy released within the classic Tomica toyline. It is primarily released in Japan.

Overview

The Mazda Atenza was released in October 2002, and retired November, 2007. It replaced the No. 16 Toyota Corolla Spacio and was succeeded by the No. 16 Suzuki Swift Sport Rallycup Car.

Description

The toy is a 1/62 scale replica of the first generation, pre-facelifted Mazda Atenza hatchback [GG], produced between 2002 and 2005 in real life. It has working suspension and its tailgate can be opened.

Trivia

• It is the 4th vehicle to be assigned the number 16".

• It was used as a base for the Mazda Atenza Autumn Version (I Love Tomica! Present Campaign), Mazda Atenza (Hyper Tomica Parking 21), Mazda Atenza Patrol Car Sign (AEON), and Mazda Atenza (AEON).

• The standard issue's color is Speed Yellow, the launch color for this generation of Atenza.

• Following this model, Tomica chose to skip the second generation Atenza, before replicating the third generation in 2013 as No.62.
