Introduction

Tomica No. 27 Nissan NV200 New York City Taxi (トミカ No. 27 日産ＮＶ２００タクシー) is a toy released within the classic Tomica toyline. It is primarily released in Japan.

Overview

The Nissan NV200 New York City Taxi was released on July 15, 2017, and retired June, 2019. It replaced the No. 27 Nissan NV350 Caravan Fire Chief Car and was succeeded by the No. 27 Toyota JPN Taxi. A first-edition variant replicating the JDM-spec version was also released.

Description

The toy is a 1/62 model of the North American-spec Nissan NV200 in the New York City taxicab livery. Its left rear door can slide open, revealing a passenger molded into the rear seat.

Trivia

• It is the 11th vehicle to be assigned the number "27".

• Compared with the first edition, it features black unchromed wheels, double rear doors, a completely different front fascia representative of the US-spec model and a left-hand-drive dashboard.

• This model marks the return of the sliding doors since the No. 78 Toyota Alphard (2008) was discontinued.
