Introduction

Tomica No. 8 Nissan Skyline (トミカ No. 8 日産スカイライン) is a toy released within the classic Tomica toyline. It is primarily released in Japan.

Overview

The Nissan Skyline was released in February 2002, and retired September, 2007. It replaced the No. 8 Nissan Cedric Taxi and was succeeded by the No. 8 Nissan Pino.

Description

The toy is a 1/62 scale model of the 11th generation Nissan Skyline [V35] in silver metallic. It has super speed, working suspension and its doors can be opened.

• It is the 5th vehicle to be assigned the number "8".

• It was used as a base for the Nissan Skyline (Lots of Tomica Car Carrier Set), Nissan Skyline (Tomica Scratch-Off W Chance Present), Nissan Skyline (Container Tomica), Nissan Skyline Investigation Patrol Car (WPS), Nissan Skyline Patrol Car (Ito-Yokado), Nissan Skyline Unmarked Patrol Car (Emergency Launch 24:00!), Nissan Skyline (Toys R Us), Patrol Car (Emergency Vehicle Set 3), Unmarked Patrol Car (Tomica & Plakids), Nissan Skyline (New) (Toys R Us), Nissan Skyline (AEON), and No. 23 Nissan Skyline Safety Car,.

• This was the first time Tomica decided to replicate the Skyline sedan rather than the coupe. They did release a coupe version of this generation of Skyline, but it was only ever available as part of a sports car set, the Skyline 50th anniversary set and the AEON Tuned Car series.
