α Thomas the Tank Engine (きかんしゃトーマス) is an exclusive Tomica. It is primarily released in Japan.

The α Thomas the Tank Engine was released November, 2004. It could be ordered for a two-month period through a form which was available in Maebe magazine, a Shogakukan-published magazine aimed at babies. It was later re-issued through the same magazine in March, 2008.

車種説明

The toy includes the main figure of the α Thomas the Tank Engine. It is equipped with an α chip, allowing for interaction with certain track sets, and is a gold version of the original Tomica.

It is based on the title character from the Thomas and Friends franchise.
