Introduction

Tomica No. 32 Toyota Crown (トミカ No. 32 トヨタクラウン) is a toy released within the classic Tomica toyline. It is primarily released in Japan.

Overview

The Toyota Crown was released in October 18, 2008, and retired November, 2011. It replaced the No. 32 Toyota Crown (2004) and was succeeded by the No. 32 Daihatsu Move.

Description

The toy is a 1/63 scale replica of the thirteenth generation Toyota Crown [S200], produced between 2008 and 2013 in real life. It has working suspension and its front doors can be opened.

Trivia

• It is the 8th vehicle to be assigned the number "32".

• Just like with the real car, this model replaced the previous generation S180 Crown, which had been released in 2004.

• It was used as a base for the Harukaze Transport Taxi (Tomica and Plarail Rotary Set), Toyota Crown Gold-Plated Version (Tomica Expo 2012) and Kaminoku/Shimonoku Toyota Crown (Tomica Hyakunin Isshu).

• From 2012 onwards, this casting was essentially replaced by the No. 110 Toyota Crown Patrol Car (2012) casting, which was shrunk to 1/69 scale and had its doors sealed shut to cut costs. Almost all future issues of the S200 Crown would use the downsized 2012 casting, meaning that the 2008 version has barely seen any use since it was discontinued.
