Introduction
Tomica No. 24 Toyota Corolla Touring (トミカ No. 24 トヨタ カローラ ツーリング) is a toy released within the classic Tomica toyline. It is primarily released in Japan.
Overview
The Toyota Corolla Touring was released on April 18, 2020, and retired May, 2022. It replaced the No. 24 Mazda CX-5 and was succeeded by the No. 24 Suzuki Solio. A white first-edition variant was also released.
Description
The toy is a 1/63 scale replica of the Toyota Corolla Touring in Black Mica. It has working suspension.
Trivia
• It is the 10th vehicle to be assigned the number "24”. Originally, the Porsche 992 was supposed to take its place, though it ended up getting cancelled for unknown reasons.
• Had things gone according to plan, the Corolla would have ended up being released in May as No. 107.
• This casting was first issued in scarlet red as a promotional model for Toyota Corolla dealerships in Japan, the Corolla Store Original Corolla Touring. Hence, "No. 24" appears nowhere on the base, due to its origins as a Not-For-Sale item.
• It was used as a base for the AEON Toyota Corolla Touring (Singapore Police Design Specifications)
