The toy is a 1/63 model of the fifth generation Subaru Impreza Sport [GT], produced since 2016 in real life. It has working suspension and its hood can be opened.

• It is the 10th vehicle to be assigned the number "78".

• It was used as the base for the Subaru Impreza (Heisei Year 31 Early Spring Tomica Edition). It was also released in multiple different colors as a promotional product.

• It is a completely different casting from the sedan and was only ever available as a limited release.

• This is one of the models where the two versions are not identical
